Countryside Life

Countryside life is one very simple jargon
In the sense that it has a lot to offer
if one does not become serious enough
for it can diminish one’s point of view
so that its scale is so parochial
Never ceasing to fantasize due to fate
only thinking their destiny is sealed

Indeed one needs to set the sky as the limit
A limit that can regress our passion
For ambition is within oneself
no other person will dream for you
Lest he be concerned about you
And you share the same endeavour
Like an ant that wakes up daily
with knowledge of working together
whether offended or jubilated by mates
life continues altogether but through sacrifice

Rural quiet life is one important phase
especially for anyone who wants to progress
Life usually has no much fuss ideally
Grapevine is normally major pastime
After the hustle day's that does not take long
Many go to the market to while away time
Since eking ends a few hours after midday
And dusk finds everyone tacked in the house
For the vigilante is usually up in motion
Ready to terrorize those who are immobile
At night especially when they are bored
Others are termed wizards of the night
Disturbing the peace when others are asleep

Belief in non-existent forces is rife
Especially those to do with departed souls
And trees that are a mystery to everyone
Again this is for conservation of the environment
in disguise since most are known to be destructive
To a point where environment is left bare and bleeding
Others don’t see the necessity of going to school
especially when food is available in abundance
Which they cannot market to get some income
Is it ignorance or just  a barbaric and backward tendency?
Someone is well placed to answer this question
In order to make us turn ourselves around
No longer do we want children learning under trees
Walking long distances to fetch water bare feet
Food rotting due to lack of refrigeration
A new dawn in the rural areas awaits
