Careless Banter

They call students all sorts of names
Don’t they know the torture we went through
They have decided to taint and pollute
Don’t they know this is a premier institution
They go about peddling lies and propaganda
Don’t they understand the admiration we uphold
They are determined to make rough our stay
Don’t they realize that they are prejudiced
They write opinions to connive the public
Don’t they know building a name takes time
They over rely on conjecture to scuttle our might
Don’t they know the magnitude of their fallacy

I s logic that hard to exercise even with little intellect
To stop the manner in which it is flouted
The fact that they try is worth lauding
Theirs has been a revenge so painful
Sometimes it is worth it to be critical
The best part is to have concrete facts
We have been intolerant for way too long
That nothing positive is there to relay
If you are the best people will endeavor
To tarnish your name and besmirch your character
But a name once built remains a solid brand
The popularity will remain strong and steadfast
It takes a juggernaut to destroy something worthy

We pride in being the best of the best
The ideology deep seated in our minds
We shall never be second to any
Our arrogance is that we are the best
No regrets we shall offer for this pride
Which many are envious and jealously want
Since they lack they struggle to make sordid
That which is clean and glitters with brilliance
Just look around and you will realize
It takes a brilliant mind to rescue
That which is on the fritz
And that is what is done by this institution
Which a few who loathe try to degrade
Correction is acceptable but not when it belittles
Remember good advice is given in camera
So that it does not backfire on the issuer
Recipients are usually ready to act in such cases
Next time be cautious when exercising such stance
The power of majority exceeds that of an individual
Ours is a culture difficult to fathom without ingenuity
Sometimes exercising caution by being silent pays
Act like you don’t care and it will pay
