Told to pride in the state

Alarming how our economy is driven
Like a journey that is lapsing
Achievements have been made worthy
Yet suffering is the daily bread
Can food be a basic need we know?
Its scarcity has made it worse
The strides we have made are losing the gem

We pride in being the crème off the region
Forgetting many a citizen sleep hungry
Ours is a nation full of empty talk
Time we make up for life’s reality
That we take a lot for granted
How swift we are to cherish vice
And weak our might to embrace virtue
I can’t say we should feel sorry

Amazing we have a place to rest blame
None knows who top take responsibility
Those in charge have formed a bureaucracy
Even minor issues are pegged with gravity
It will be a disaster that will fathom
That we are good experience never at learning

The way we take life is for granted
We watch as prices skyrocket without a complaint
Cartels amass wealth and so does the seat
Inflation is at a high time high
Economists no longer calculate consumer price index
Since ignorance is a bliss and a jubilation
That we are taxed heavily is no issue
No crime that others are evading tax
Cry a nation that should be a success
